It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
people !!! People!!! PEOPLE!!!! read bill and my reasons behind this clue (#4) and you will me magnetically drawn to Highland Park... plus the rome road suggestion helps out too!!!
Newell is walked over well from kids and stuff, but noting besides the softball field bases were actually dug up. Did ya catch my post earlier about the 4, there are 4 pillars just outside the front door of the building at Newell, adorning it I'd say myself.
Got it - Dave. I drove by Tues afternoon - didn't have time to get out and look around. Did you notice the tennis courts across Fairview - is that considered part of NP??
If anyone wants the 4--there are only 4 tennis courts in highland park--also police precinct is #4 and it reads SOMEWHERE in the clue not SOMETIMES so it does fit!!
Has anyone thought that mabey the medallion is hidden at Battle Creek Regional Park? It has a sledding hill, there are some backstops witht the numbers 4, 5 and 9 mon them, and they all have signs stating no golfing. I think it may be a prak worth looking into.
Last time they hunted there I remember people saying it was part of the park, and if you look on the website under newell that Barton gave us earlier yeasterday it says they have tennis courts there.http://www.friendsoftheparks.org/parksearch.htm
Free from digging??? what do you mean, there isn't really anything out there that has actually been dug up except the field. And Newell is not that small of a park, it could hold all the people I saw at cherokee last year and when it was at hidden falls at least that big.
ani - really? I thought that you were the one who handed me the information? Oh, bother. :P I drove out there last night, and I couldn't find any information from the outside.
Here is my take on the whole deal: 1)It is at Highland 2) Clue #1 points to it. It says that a park is the spot but a golf course is not. You have your Highland Park and Highland Golf Course. It is pointing to avoid the digging up of the golf course. I agree with Matt about the deal with the police station 3) Clue #2 mentions flying downhill there aree sliding hills there. 4)The bit about the numbers on clue #3 the only thing I can connect that to is the roads nearby or the softball diamonds or golf course. 5)Latest clue tells you to avoid Newell. Also, Last year they had that thing where you had to break down the word for other words-that was done already with a lost coin. The history with Lexington points to Highland. 6)Last year we had it down to the park after the third clue- so it isn't to early to get out there. I will wait til this weekend though!
I also think it could be at Battle Creek just because it is a fairly big park and if i'm not mistaken, it has 4 baseball fields as well as some tennis courts
agreed Barton--the road there and the park given already--very easy to read the elimination!! Kevin--how can you be in werentany? Im gonna make a chatroom--itll be called Medallion--go to it--k?use your people again!!
all of you people know they would not give such an obvious wordplay reference this early to the park it's in!!! theyre using NEWELL as a reference point and as a place to dump all the confused hunters to... what does newell have to do with ICONOCLASTS?? the HIGHLANDers were the iconoclasts who were a BLAST from the past!!! and by digging in highland we are HIGHLANDERS hence we are ICONOCLASTS!!!
wisebass
Matt - thanks for your thoughts on HP.

Got it - Dave. I drove by Tues afternoon - didn't have time to get out and look around. Did you notice the tennis courts across Fairview - is that considered part of NP??
I agree. Newell is too small.
matt the police station is not precinct #4
Gotta sign off for the night....I have to count cards all day and not be tired.....Bye

dave you are right on is there any spots away from the ballfield that are free from digging also 943 has something to do with baseball
Before I go to bed.... Highland Park has buried (or had) millitary ammo in the hills by snelling.
only 2 tennis courts at Newell
night marsh--nice noodlin with you
I'm hitting the sack - I can't listen to another round of questions on Battle Creek. See ya in AM Dave.
bill im in werentany
dave i think chris could be on something here

Anyone have an idea of what the iconoclast is all about?
think the well in the new=newell reference only means that newell park is nearby to highland which is THE PLACE TO BE
Gonna go see if anyone is really there since its just a hop skip and a jump away. See ya in a couple.
believe if you go to www.pioneerplanet.com, at the bottom by the treasure hunt thing, it has a link to past clues.
heard it from someone else matt...(precinct 4)
I still think Highland is the best bet right now. The clues have not helped out much.
Title Change - Last year was Chasing Amy
