I'd say about 50% of that plateau had already been dug up - that's why if its there it will probably be found tonight - there's a couple hardpacked portions of the trails that Art and I didn't totally break up - so even some of the stuff that looks 'dug' hasn't been.
That white "salt lick" dot is in the middle of a rather steep incline - it's probably a tree stump or a rock.
I'd like to think there might be a "smile" in Clue 11 or 12 - perhaps near the pond - to the north? The pond looks like a smile. There are rocks on the north side of the pond that were dug up pretty well, but not uphill a bit from there.
True; i had just read in one of my many google wanderings that there were historical markers signifing a historical house or two, but can't remember the exact thing i read. I am back at school now, so don't have the time to find it.
I didn't know it was that close to the creek; the CW wouldn't put it that close with kids and all.
If you go by the "Point" that the church makes that area directly around the creek below IS level ground. I'm not banking on that because it's too close to the water and a bit dangerous to dig - the "safe" level ground would be that plateu, stonehenge, and possibly along the edge of that pond area under the shade of those two large oak? trees.
Didn't your map ay #1 is Mr. Boxmeyer's church where he was buried? You can just imagine them looking in a direction like MD said, and where is that point, how many paces.
Good luck to those going out tonight and those going out tomorrow. I gotta see what I can move off my calendar in the morning to get out there for a bit.
No, I was poking around the X and Science Museum. The beasts exposed was the main reason with the dinosauer skeletons, but I liked the Fighting Saints at Civic Center and the five streets intersecting where 7 corners once stood and the brothel owned by the German madam being where the museum parking ramp is now.
Just got off the phone with me2 and she says there's about 50-60 people digging with most in the southern part of the park trying to dig by the mesh that is under the landscaping. :eyeroll:
I think we're safe by the walls boys. I actually think it's between the screen and the salt lick myself. Been diggin there for days. I was wondering who else was up there.
But if it does end up being in the south than that area by the big burnt tree is ideal as well. But not much to view.
Would that traffic circle next to the church be considered private property? I dunno if there is a mound of snow in the middle that may need digging or something...certainly is level ground.
You know the creek doesn't necessarily need to be real close to the medallion. It could be telling us to keep to the bottom on level ground because you have the up top portion of the park to rule out.
I could be wrong, MD. I know the church parking lot itself would be private.
But correct about a St Paul street being open game. and if you search 463 Maria Ave (chruch address) on google maps and zoom in, there is a small parking lot that looks like you can park there to walk swede
If the puck is on that bluff that is going to drive me crazy.
On my first walk-through of that park I thought "Right there would be perfect". I paced through it carefully when there was only few tracks, dug a freakin' runway from that flat area to the Oak Tree, and tonight Art & I hacked up about 1/4 of that area that hadn't been molested already. Nada. D'oh!
Do you think there's any chance it's under those two oaks by the "Smile" pond? That whole area is hard pack now. Darn near need a jackhammer to bust it up again.

I would rather hunt in daylight. How about you?

Goodnight and SCDs!

But this clue could be just saying stick to the bottom and find level ground.
I'm think off the bottom of the two bottom paths, if that makes any sense.
If it is not found by lunch time I will be looking forward to yarussos for lunch
I think it is nearer rather than farther from the little stream. But not too near, if that makes any sense.
