I have a blister on the tip of my tongue - from rubbing my tounge against my night guard. I can't begin to explain how annoying this is.

How long does the pain from the surgery normally last?

My mother must have been lucky - she was 70-ish, had an artificial aortic valve placed, had barely any pain after the first day or two. Which I *thought* was more the norm. What does your doc say about this pain?

I guess I wrote the first part wrong. I mean to say I am sympathetic - but the pain isn't altogether a bad thing.

I agree. Comfortably Numb is a kick-ass song - but not exactly a state of well-being.

I googled it, and it is a scam trying to raise money for some phony children's cause. Some people are getting 10 calls a day from this number. I have gotten a call from them daily for four days now.

I don't answer this type of calls. But I'm tired of going to answer the phone only to see this number on Caller ID.

Why is your night guard that close to you? Why do you need to be guarded?

pretend that you're the cops, and grill them for information on how they "knew the victim".... scare the crap outta them...

ask them what city they're calling from, and then snap your fingers, like you're talkin to somebody in the background and say: "Joe! get <insert their name here>, over in <insert their city here>, we need to send a car over, to pick this guy up!"...

It is a new pain. It's towards the top of my chest crack. Like it wants to separate or something. I have an aching in my heart that comes and goes as well.

At least I go in tomorrow for the fist time to see how that valve looks and is operating. I have a list of items to talk with them about including the new dull pain.

I have a viral infection and it is draining in to my lungs!!

they gave me a pres. for some inhaller and told me if any thing gets wosre go to the ER and dont think twice!! about it!! thats a good thought!! I guess I also pulled a muscle in my chest from coughing so hard and much!!

also I guess this gose with the infection that my white count is off!!

so in turn I STILL FEEL LIKE CRAP!!!!

they put me on a nebulizer for I dont know it seamed like 2 hrs but it was about half that!! and it made my lungs feel better!! so thats the stuff the gave me for a inhaler!! to take 2 puffs 4 times a day or as needed!! it has some antibitaic in it!! so I hope this kicks THIS CRAP OUT OF ME!!! I AM GOING TO SLEEP!!

Last time I got this type of call, I found a number to report annoyance calls, and within two days, the calls stopped.

Now I can't find that number again.

Has anyone else reported this type of call, with success?

I don't answer these calls, and they don't leave a message on the answering machine; but the one time I answered without looking at Caller ID, it was someone trying to raise money for some children's cause and she hung up after she gave her first half-sentence of the schpiel.

If it is legit solicitor, I wish they'd state their business and let me just say yes or no, then they can get on with phoning people who might actually donate.

I'm starting to think the whole world has gone STUPID.

Nick, please tell me how to play with them when they don't talk when you answer. I googled this number and lots of people are getting annoyance calls from this number. Often, if you DO answer, they have already gone on to another call and you are just answering dead air.

Can't play with them if they are auto-dialing.

It is just a complete nuisance to have to go to the phone to see that it is a call I don't want to answer.

I reported them to the DO NOT CALL site - it may or may not be a charity soliciting, but if it is, I suspect it is a scam or they wouldn't call here every damn day.

That would work IF they would talk to me. There is no one there, with these calls. The annoying part is just running for the phone, thinking it is a real telephone call. This number starts out with once a day auto-dial calls, but some people are being called repeatedly through the day and evening.

was getting a call from my gym's 800# for a while (24hr fitness -don't think you have them there)

anyway - when I'd answer the phone, it would say - all operators are busy - please try your call later - thank you for calling 24hr fitness.

Then one time there was a woman who was on the other end, and it was like Dell India.

I went to the gym, and complained - they stopped telemarketing me.

I unplugged my phone and haven't had a telemarketing call since :goofy: If someone, family or friends wants to reach me - they know the REAL number :wink:

I've been planning on disconnecting my home number to save the $25.

90% are sales calls or a reminder that items are late from Blockbuster or the library anyhow.

The last telemarketer that called happened to be the same time the dog was barking out the window at a "stranger" in the street...I went with it and barked along with the dog - made a hideous racket - the marketer still stayed on the line and started their speech after we both quieted down. Then I hung up the phone. I guess they are told its a Cardinal sin to hang up before the customer does.

I've had so many people call up and I'd answer the phone, and they would go through a list of people, all of whom werent available, and I tell them I can help them, and they either say, "Nah, I'll call back", or they say, "Ok! I need such and such part, and just incase you don't know what that is, it does such and such."

I am also irritated by a different branch going into one of our top five customers (that we've had for 3+ years) behind our backs, and giving them some BS line, just to get their business, and our DM doing nothing about it. If I ever go to that store again, you can bet some harsh words will be said, and no time for an exchange of those words given.
