Laid down yesterday afternoon for a brief nap - heard on of the small private jets going to St. Paul airport fly by, followed by LOUD low rumble - jumped up and thought I heard a plane crash...
Turns out the rumble was one of the storage shelves in my garage ripped out of the wall - I used one of those larger wire closet organizer shelves with about a dozen hooks - must've been working its way loose from the sheetrock for weeks. Caused a small avalanche of sporting and camping goods to be dumped all over my car. Most of it was in plastic totes that probably made the low rumble noise as they rolled across the roof and hood.
Amazingly enough the car only got a couple minor scuff marks - the shelf was rubber coated and didn't score a direct hit on the car - some of the totes popped open but none of the crap with metal edges looks like it hit the auto. I'm guessing Saturn's plastic panels saved a couple dents from happening too.
--- Guess I got a project to do for the weekend now.
every time I grab the PP now I think I'm looking at some New York paper or something more modern. I don't like it at all. I always have a delayed reaction and then realize I'm looking at the PP.
Hell, Cluey, you've been poked, probed and prodded in the last couple months more than the average oil field - that camera probably looks like a vacation...
Mikey;
Just remember to smile and say CHEEESE! (That's prolly what is stuck up there anyway)
I had buffalo steak last night (which I love, love love) but usually I don't eat a large portion, and last night I did.
however today, I don't feel good, and I have this strange taste in my mouth, like blood. I have this same problem when I eat deer meat, and on occasion it's sent me to the hospital, cause apparently there is a high amount of iron in it- and my body doesn't seem to like it. or something of that nature...
so, i'm at work, not feeling well - and hoping it doesn't come to that. :barf:
I've heard that eating or drinking something high in Vitamin C might help that iron absorb better and not sit in your intestinal tract and irritate. Also recall something about if you eat spinach with a high iron meal, the oxalates in the spinach bind to the iron and make it less bio-available, which might also make it sit in the gut and irritate. I don't know these things for a fact, but couldn't hurt to have something with Vitamin C and see if that helps. Unless you have a reason not to, that is. I recall hearing that papaya is particularly good after eating a large quantity of red meat of any kind.
Um, was there a lot of WINE consumed at this meal? An unusually LARGE portion of wine, perhaps? You get a good conversation going, and 'oops' another bottle pleeese...
tasting blood is a bit odd for too much wine, though.
A high-society term for Drunk on Wine: "Chateaued"
Another term "Drunk as a Bassarid" - The Bassiards were devotees of Dionysus who honored their deity with wine orgies and danced about in their drunken excitement.
Isn't it cool that there is a food like bison that still provides such great nutrition yet is somewhat self-limiting as to portions?
I think we will find, as we reclaim the foods which are truly nutrient-dense, that they are not only better for us, but also we will be more satisfied with the flavors and portions than some of the junk that has been pandered to us for the past several decades.

hang in there. hope things lighten up soon for yah.
uuuuuugh!
I think I'm either dealing with a DoS attack on the company internet connection... or the modem just crapped out...
Either way, it just killed my evening plans. Obviously can't operate this company without a working internet connection.

Unbelievable how many terms can be used to describe being drunk - its very edu- ed- edum- edumacashekunal how many ways you kin get fitshaced. :barf:

I'll have to try something, cause i'm going to dinner tonight to a place that has fries fried in duckfat. yum
www.bocasteakhouse.com I think is the linke - it's in San Rafael.
and i can't WAIT to eat this stuff.
I ate buckwheat with my russian meal the other night.. nature (to put it bluntly) reminded me later, that fiber is very very good for you. ha
but absinthe, jack and cokes, and vodka sodas were consumed in mass quantities..
no fights tho.
