Just a note: I was looking up information on getting a license taken care of for our dog--- notice where the majority of the 'dangerous dogs' are located in St Paul ----hahaahahaha East Side!

Dogs Win!

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse".

6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom,and run outside where he will dry himself off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

Get one from the humane society, they have sooooo many and last time I went out there, most of them were black.

Humane Society is my recommendation as well.

We told her to wait until June. So midnight last night she asked when we could go pick it up. We will start to look now. Had bad experience with HS cats but not ruling them out. Anyone try that adopt a pet thing at Petsmart on the weekends? We were going to take a look at the WSP store on Saturday and see what it's about.

The pets they have at Petco are living in foster homes with people who like animals. I think it's a good choice also. We've gotten all of our pets at the Humane Society, but almost adopted a yellow lab at Petco one time. It just wasn't practical at the time.

I know there is a lot of places you can take a pet home...try them out....and return them if you don't like them...

My name is Starla! I am a tiny black and white kitten. I am friendly, but still a little scared here at the shelter. I came to the shelter because I was found in a gutter and was very hungry. Starla is currently in foster care and not available for adoption at this time.

I am a cute little fluffy black kitten. I am a little scared since everything here at the shelter is all new to me, but it makes me feel better to cuddle with my sister.

Have you ever been to Animal Ark? I went and walked out. The cats are all housed in one room and roam freely for the most part. It didn't look healthy to me. One sick cat could infect the whole lot. I think their intentions are good, but they don't turn away any animals and it looks like they've bitten off more than they can chew. But that's just me.

Never been there...just know about it...

I won't get a puppy or kitten again.....just adopt only ....

I figure these way know the issues upfront...

I have added a new cat to the household since I was here last..an older woman named Tasha. She allows Tigger to think he is king, but rules with an iron paw in a soft fur glove.
