I just posted something over there about people not spoon feeding the lazy. It's one thing to go over ideas but another to spell it all out for those who are late to the party and too lazy to figure it out or read 1000 posts.
I've been thinkin about these clues alot.. When's the last time there were -so many- anagrams specifically spelling out the park?? Has there ever been a time? Usually there's one anagram if that, and that usually spells out a street or (maybe) the park, but two, three anagrams that spell out the park?
Something still just doesn't seem right in the back of my head about this... they know everybody's an anagram freak and would get excited about finding an anagram... would they purposely throw a few in the clues to throw everybody off, while still keeping the clue itself pointing towards a different park? And if the anagrams are subtracted from the mix, are the clues still good enough for Swede?
Now don't get me wrong, Swede is still #1 on my list largely because of the anagrams, and I'll be spending some time out there today. But we're only 7 clues in.. they still have 5 clues to throw everybody for a complete loop, which we've seen happen a number of times.
I have looked at these clues both looking for anagrams, and then taking the clues for what's actually said.
Taking away the anagrams, many parks could be in play - but do fit Swede Hollow too.
The fact we could be getting more than one anagram referring specifically to one park could have to do with it being the first time hidden there, the dual spelling of Svenske/Svenska, or may be the red herring.
Ok I have searched and searched and d etermined that I will never find the medallion why you ask because I can't even seem to find a phone number to the PP to call and check on the hunt status...if I cna't find a number that 1000's of other people can find...I don't see how I'm going to find a medallion that only one person gets to find :frown: That being said can someone please post the number...
Edit: Please disregard this post as the poster was having a stupid moment...Open paper to first page look at clue oh...look whats right next to it...a phone number....I need more sleep.
There do seem to be a lot of anagrams this year. And all (but the water st one) point to Swede. I drove by on my way home from work this afternoon and there was a good crowd out in the street level portion of the park.
Just back from the Hollow...phew..can't believe I didn't find it. Saw lots of cooler folk out there...great seeing people like Brass Monkey, Brass Cat, Tatergirl, Jesse, Kanooty, Hnts2much and more....sure hope we have the right park...

Funny I was looking for alternative spelling for Svenska to make the anagram fit.
Wow 3 anagrams now. If this is a red herring..... kudos.
The newest one on the PP boards is:
"to see an owner walk his poodle"
after anagraming it for 45 minutes at the party at PP.we came up with:
"its swede hollow near open oak"
This is similar to ones discussed here, but this person made use of the extra word and letters to get it to make better sense.

9 1/2 hours until the next clue.
They are dedicating it to Box...he loved his anagrams...think it's a coincidence?

Don't know what to think, but I don't think it's gonna be found today (at least I hope not  )
I still don't have a great feeling for any spot there. It could be anywhere!
